One of the principles that our founder Most Venerable Acharya Buddharakkhita laid is to make Indians self-reliant. Every person either has to be educated in normal academic way to choose a normal profession in modern world or they should be trained in physical crafts and works which can bring them equally monetary benefits and social harmony. Though this project in waiting for long time, at last we found a place near Nongtaw village in Lohit district of AP. We are grateful to Nongtaw villagers who welcomed and cooperating heartily to develop this Mahabodhi Skill Development Center. Already agricultural skills imparting has started and soon the following programs at this skill development center will be started:
In future plumbing and sanitary, masonry, skills in aluminum, plastic and glass constructions, fire safety skills, hardware and software skills will be added.
