📖 It was the Dhammapada book after reading that Bhanteji decided to become a Buddhist monk, He always revered the Dhammapada and wished that the Dhammapada becomes well known so that people learn to live a virtuous and peaceful life to progress further.

To fulfil his wish of spreading the message of the Dhammapada we celebrate the Dhammapada Festival on his birthday, which falls on Phagguna (Holi) Punnami Full Moon Day.

We cordially invite one and all to participate in the various Dhamma programs organised dedicated to Parama Poojya Venerable Acharya Buddharakkhita Mahathera

ಪರಮಪೂಜ್ಯ ಡಾ. ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಬುದ್ಧರಕ್ಖಿತ ಭಂತೇಜಿರವರು ಭಗವಾನ್ ಬುದ್ಧರ ಬೋಧನೆಗಳ ಗುಚ್ಚವಾದ “ಧಮ್ಮಪದ” ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಆಳವಾಗಿ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡಿ, ಅದರ ಪ್ರಭಾವದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಬೌದ್ದ ಭಿಕ್ಖುವಾಗಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದರು. ಆ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಪೂಜ್ಯರು ಈ ಧಮ್ಮಪದ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಗೌರವಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು ಮತ್ತು ಧಮ್ಮಪದ ಪುಸಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಓದಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಇಚ್ಛೆಯಿಂದ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇರಳವಾಗಿ ಮುದ್ರಿಸಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಉಪಾಸಕ- ಉಪಾಸಿಕರಿಗು ತಲುಪಿಸುವುದರ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಶಾಂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮರಸ್ಯದ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತೀ ವರ್ಷ ಫಾಲ್ಗುಣ ಮಾಸದ ಹುಣ್ಣಿಮೆಯ ದಿನ ಅವರ ಹುಟ್ಟು ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು “ಧಮ್ಮಪದ
ಉತ್ಸವ” ಎಂದು ಆಚರಿಸುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಪರಮಪೂಜ್ಯ ಬಡಾ ಭಂತೇಜಿರವರ ಆಶಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುವ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಇಡುತ್ತಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ನಮನಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
ಈ ವರ್ಷದ ಧಮ್ಮಪದ ಉತ್ಸವದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ದಿನಾಂಕ 4.3.2023 ರಿಂದ 7.3.2023 ರ ವರೆಗೆ ಹಲವು ಬಗೆಯ ಧಮ್ಮ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ತಾವುಗಳು ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸಮೇತರಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಬಡಾ ಭಂತೇಜಿ ಯವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾತ್ರರಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮಹಾಬೋಧಿ ಸೊಸೈಟಿಯ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಸ್ವಾಗತವನ್ನು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.
